Progressive, Goofy and Open
I am a married White Male, former native of Boston who moved out here with my awesome wife (life mate if you prefer) back in the earlier part of the century. Recently we decided to open the marriage up, not out of desperation or boredom but out of a mutual respect for each other's curiosities. I take life seriously but myself not at all. I have a wonderful daughter who is my teacher and pal. I love music, books, vegetarian politics and food. I'm flippant but not ironic, compassionate but not maudlin and am looking for a woman who is interested in that old chestnut, "Friends with Benefits". I have the relationship I intend to grow old in, but am looking for something fun and casual as a respite from the day to day grind of life.
If you could have a dinner party and invite any 4 people, dead or alive, who'd be coming? Paul Robeson, Che Guevara, Srila Prahbupada, Jim Morrison.
Three things I want from my ideal mate are: I like humor, honesty and curiosity.
If you are about to enter a room full of total strangers, what song would you want played to accompany your entrance? "Israelites", by Desmond Dekker. I'm all about 1960's ska!
One movie everyone should see is: "Come And See", brutal anti-war movie that will resensitize you.
Who are your favorite authors and why? Richard Price for his intelligent page turners, George Orwell who continues to be ahead of his time and Sinclair Lewis who's words we still don't heed.
What is your most prized possession? I recently stopped having prize possessions. Can't take it with you when you die.
Quote a line from your favorite movie. "You can't fight in here, this is the War Room" from "Dr. Strangelove".
If you are a super-hero, what is your power? People have to start listening to each other.
If you could, what's one thing you would change about yourself? My occasional anxious nature.
I consider myself an open-minded person, but my deal breakers are psychotics and bigots
Design your ideal mate: the brain of mother Jones and the body of Janeane Garofalo
If you have a pet, it better not be a furry spider
The first section I turn to in the Valley Advocate is arts
The quickest way to my heart is conversation The quickest way to my bed is humor And in the morning, I like my eggs cooked any old way.
It's Sunday morning at 10 a.m. If I'm not still sleeping, I'm hanging out with my daughter
The best part of living in the Valley is rural setting and like mind folk.
I wouldn't be who I am if still drank and drugged.
I wouldn't sell my current life for a billion dollars.
When I was a kid, I actually owned a set of "American Heritage". Still do!
My guiltiest pleasure is celebrity gossip.
My biggest pet peeve is smug hipsterism.
Something I learned from the last person I dated was stay flexible and loving.
My idea of a great date is good talk, fun, food.
I couldn't live without daughter.
My pictures(s) reveal that I am , I don't know, what do you think?
If I had one day left to live, I would spend it with my family and pet chickens.
